As most of you know I am a rescue dog and I am sponsored by The Little Dog Rescue who pay for all my medical bills as I have a few health problems like my Angel sister Molly also. We were two of the lucky ones, like my furiend Pip we are writing posts to help raise awareness for dogs in rescue. Pip pointed out that only 1 out of 10 dogs and 1 out 12 cats ever find homes that is not good enough and things really DO need to change and soon. You can help …. Please adopt a rescue dog or cat, volunteer to help at a rescue centre, donate ( not just money but supplies, food, blankets or any thing shelters need ), do a sponsored walk every little helps and even the smallest thing can make a huge difference to a dog or cat in a shelter or rescue centre.
How can you help today? Write a post between September 16th and September 19th and Pedigree will donate a 20-pound bag of food to an animal shelter. Just include the bullets listed here, and add the direct link to your blog post to the Blog Hop below.
- Each year, more than 4 million dogs end up in shelters and breed rescue organizations. Pedigree created The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive to help shine a spotlight on the plight of these homeless dogs.
- This year the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive is raising awareness for homeless dogs by donating a bowl of food to shelter dogs for everyone who becomes a "Fan" or "Likes" the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive on Facebook. So far more than 1 million bowls have been donated.
- Special for BlogPaws West: For each blog that posts about the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive through September 19, PEDIGREE will donate a bag of its new Healthy Longevity Food for Dogs to shelters nationwide. It's simple: Write a post, help a dog
When you are done writing your post head over to Life with Dogs and join the special PEDIGREE Blog Hop
Thank You ! From the bottom of my hinky heart.

What a great post, Richie!! We are going to help lots of dogs!! By the way, the numbers I gave only include animals in shelters and not the thousands of dogs and cats who are homeless and living and dying on the streets! You are right this MUST change!
